When Superstorm Sandy hit New York City in 2012, it caused widespread damage to homes and businesses. In the aftermath of the storm, the city's Housing Recovery Office was tasked with helping residents rebuild their lives. To assist with this massive undertaking, the office partnered with Projexis™.

CDBG-DR Housing Program

In its capacity as program reporting lead for this disaster recovery housing program, Projexis extracted and combined data from numerous systems, which included:

  • Case Management CRM
The program's case management system housed on Microsoft Dynamics.
  • FieldLens
A construction field reporting software to report on construction progress.
  • QA/QC Database
A Microsoft Access database that housed all quality assurance and quality control reviews.

Program Reporting Lead

As the data analytics, metrics, and QA/QC reporting lead, Projexis utilized various data transmission and aggregation methods including API and ETL so all data from the systems above could be consolidated and reported from a single SQL reporting and analytics database.

From this database, Projexis developed numerous standardized operational reports, including real-time dashboards and drill-down reports, that provided executive management with the tools necessary to make strategic program decisions.

By utilizing this project management software, the Housing Recovery Office was able to provide much-needed assistance to Sandy victims and help them get back on their feet.
